I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new year at St. Joseph School. I am looking forward to getting to know you throughout the coming year, which surely promises to bring with it many new experiences and challenges. In order to make the year a successful one, teamwork and cooperation will be required by all. As your son or daughter’s teacher, it is my goal to help him/her become a confident learner and I will do my best to help make this year a positive experience for everyone.
What to expect in Science: All grades will be learning a broad range of topics, covering everything from Earth and Space Science, to Life Science, to Physical Science. Hands-on activities will be utilized as often as possible, but participation is largely dependent on student behavior.
What to expect in Religion: 6th graders this year will be learning the books and stories of the Old Testament, while focusing on the school’s core concepts of Message, Worship, Community, and Service. We will also be focusing on the importance of prayer in daily life, and living a Christ-centered life by following the Golden Rule.
