Summer Reading 2018

Dear students and parents,

St. Joseph School is assigning a summer reading book for students entering the 4th Grade. We want to stress the importance of reading to help build language, vocabulary and comprehension skills.

Students are expected to purchase, read and annotate the book Frindle by Andrew Clements. Students should return to class in August ready to discuss the book and complete assignments that will be based on the book.

Attached is a reminder on how annotate while reading. You may annotate directly in the book or use sticky notes.  Also, and assignment work sheet.  This is due on August 27, 2018.  CLICK here for paperwork

SJS Library has a Summer Reading Log for K-5.  Read 18 hours and your name will be entered into a drawing for a free book of your choice from the Bookfair in November.  Click here for information
