Watch your classmates’ flipgrids to vote for your favorite! Or, if you forgot to make one, make a flipgrid of your own! I sent out ID numbers in my email on Monday. After you watch, make a vote for who you think should be elected by emailing me. I will announce our winners by our last instructional day.

Happy belated Mother’s Day everyone! I was so thankful to be pampered by not having to cook yesterday;  after 2 months of cooking non-stop at home it was a welcomed relief! I hope all your children helped pamper you mommas yesterday too!

One of today’s “can do” activities is to have a mock election! If you decide to run for a position, make sure you decide on which position (President, Vice President, governor, mayor, etc.) and what your platform should be (why people should vote for you). You can record your campaign video on Flipgrid, and then your classmates and I can watch it!
Today’s special is music. The information is attached in your daily sheet.
Today’s Spirit Activity is “Good Reads Day”. Show us a picture of you with one of your favorite books!
Happy learning!

For practice with telling time to the quarter hour (how to say the same time in different ways) and how to tell time to the nearest 5 minutes, go to SplashLearn.com. This is from the same creators as SplashMath which I know the students LOVED in class and it seems like a free resources (for now at least) as well. Education.com also has a lot of different games to practice all the telling time skills we will cover over the end of this year.

Today’s Spirit Activity is to go find God in nature! If you have a younger sibling, they are REALLY good at this, so you might want to take them with you on your walk. I know that my son is fantastic at finding “treasures” (like acorns, pinecones, dandelions…) when we go on walks. He is very good at reminding me that we are surrounded by God’s beautiful creations.

Here’s to hoping for some nice weather today so we can get outside! I really would love to do some videos while enjoying the warm sunshine on my face instead of sitting on my couch! Hope the videos help you with your work today, and as always, feel free to email me with any questions.
