Preschool has been taking full advantage of our spring weather. We put our artistic skills to use and created some amazing chalk art! We think these kids are pretty awesome!
Take a peek at the students making a marble run together. They placed each piece in the correct place so the marble could make it all the way to the bottom!
This week is all about our favorite cat, "Pete the Cat". The students listened to many different stories including, "Pete the Cat and HIs Four Groovy Buttons" and a read along, "I Love my White Shoes". We made our very own groovy t-shirts and had fun stacking as many buttons as we could in our Play-Doh towers.
Please have the students continue working on writing their names at home. Remind them that "we always start our letters at the top".
We thank you for sharing your children with us each and every day!
This week is building week. Students are learning different building techniques: bricklayer, symmetry, tall/long, and stack-it. We started by practicing these techniques with blocks, then the students made a blueprint of what they wanted to build, and on Friday we put our plans to action! The students constructed what they drew in their blueprints using their newly learned building techniques.
Next weeks theme...Valentine's Day
2/12- No School
4 Year Olds: Our 4 year olds investigated, “how does a pumpkin grow?” We learned the life cycle of a pumpkin, what is inside of a pumpkin, and played a pumpkin seed math game! The 4 year olds listened to the story, “It’s Pumpkin Time!” by Zoe Hall. Thank you to all of our wonderful parents for their pumpkin donations to make our week a success. It was a pumpkin good time!
